The World Deaf Golf Championships is renowned as the premier international deaf amateur golfing championship with an Individual Mens, Ladies and Seniors Championship held over 72 holes. Each nation can also enter the Team Championships (both Mens and Ladies) which runs simultaneously.

The event is run under the auspices of the World Deaf Golf Federation, which has links with The Royal & Ancient at St. Andrews.

The 8th World Deaf Golf Championships will be held in St. Andrews, Scotland for the first time, a fitting venue as the historic birthplace of the sport.
